We have Professional Engineering Licensing and have led ambitious projects in the states of New York, Florida, Texas, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, Michigan, Minnesota, Georgia, and Ohio. We oversee all stages of each project with a high level of precision and resource management.

Meet Our Team
Carlos Deternoz
FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Carlos has a Civil Engineering Bachelor degree from the Central University of Venezuela (Universidad Central de Venezuela - UCV) and graduated first place in his class with a hydraulic emphasis in 1993. He is a registered and active professional engineer of the Engineer College of Venezuela and an affiliate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
With over 30 years of experience in the areas of residential and commercial building, integrating architecture concepts with engineering solutions for infrastructure and superstructure projects, he applies his skills and versatility in the areas of design and construction management.
Carlos initiated his career in Venezuela, acquiring knowledge and experience through a diversity of projects. He honed his skills in identifying issues, analyzing problems, coordinating and providing high-quality solutions and technical support, and utilizing professional engineering standards, design philosophies, and methods in the preparation of detailed calculations.
In Venezuela in 1999, pursuing his great vision, Carlos created Tecno Obras. Following its success, he opened a new location in New York as Tecno Obras Consulting Group, Inc. in 2010, and a few years later Deternoz Engineering P.C. All this happened as he worked at different companies gaining extensive experience planning, operating, and maintaining roads and highways for the petroleum industry.
